Symantec Corp. on Tuesday reported more than 286 million new cyberthreats in 2010, accompanied by new "megatrends" on the threat landscape.

Mountain View-based Symantec (NASDAQ:SYMC) said targeted attacks such as Hydraq and Stuxnet posed a growing threat to enterprises in 2010. Attackers launched targeted attacks against publicly traded, multinational corporations and government agencies, as well as a number of smaller companies

Just ask JC Penny ... back in Feb. the NYT ran a story discussing why JC Penny ranked so well on so many organic search terms ... they (NYT) hired an outside consultant to investigate, and they found some strange results. After presenting their findings to Google, many of JC Penny's listings were no longer top ranked. The main lessson from this story, aside from complying with Google's terms, is to know exactly what your outside SEO company is doing on your behalf.
