Two Takes on Government Regulation Of Google's Search Business ...

Is Google too big? Does it so completely dominate the search engine landscape that it needs regulation?

The New York Times advanced the above ideas in this editorial: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/15/opinion/15thu3.html?_r=1, and it received comments from many other tech blogs.

SearchEngineLand's response ... "The New York Times Algorithm & Why it Needs Government Regulation," a nice bit of satire that makes some good points regarding this issue.

Google may be too big, but is there anyone in government who could actually understand Google's (or Microsoft's for that matter) search algorithm?
